Surrender (to Jerry Butler)

When I agreed to appear in my first two adult feature films Surrender in Paradise and A Little Bit of Hanky Panky I had several contractual demands.

  1. I had the ability to say no to anything that made me uncomfortable.
  2. I had script approval.
  3. How much I was to be paid.

My fourth requirement, though, was the most important to me: I had complete cast approval. I have always considered it critical that I work with performers I was turned on by and found a sexual attraction to.

David and Svetlana Marsh the director and producer, I’m still not sure which was which as they both seemed to do both jobs, suggested Jerry Butler as my leading man. Jerry and I met the the Marsh’s sprawling mansion at the top of Mount Olympus in the Hollywood hills. I remember we both felt instant attraction and even found it difficult to keep our hands off of each other. This was a match made in heaven. Jerry was a beefy New York actor with charm oozing out of every pore. He was intelligent and funny as hell. I was really looking forward to working with him.

A couple of weeks later I found myself along with fifty or so other cast and crew members on the island of Kauii, waiting to film my first movie. I made friends with most everyone immediately and came to know Jerry very well. We actually developed an off-camera romance beginning the eve of our first scene. An incredible romantic, Jerry even carved our names into the branch of a tree. He made me a necklace out of sea shells and sang me sappy love songs all of the time.

After one of our romantic evenings on the beach Jerry told me that the makeup artist, with whom I’d become very good friends, wanted to hook up. Lexi was a 36DD-26-36 redheaded firecracker. I had a girl crush on her and couldn’t believe she had one on me too.

The next morning at around 6:00 AM Lexi and I rode side by side in the back of one of the production vehicles. We both had our legs dangling out of the back of the pickup truck, and we talked, and laughed, and giggled most of the two-hour ride to the location. In the midst of our conversation, I brought up the fact the Jerry had mentioned Lexi wanted to get together with me and told her I was all in. Lexi then revealed that Jerry had told her I wanted to get together with her. … So he had told each of us the other wanted to hook up, when it was all his idea.

Lexi and I plotted our revenge. We told Jerry that we had discussed us having a three way, but didn’t tell him we were aware of his sneaky plan. We agreed to meet that night in Jerry’s room after we were finished filming, where Lexi and I showed up dressed to kill in short little summer dresses. We also brought along rope that I got from one of the crew members. We tied Jerry up naked and spread-eagle on the bed. Then Lexi and I made out, and had sex in front of Jerry for the next two hours. Jerry could do nothing but lie there and watch with his eternal hard on. After Lexi and I were finished, we got dressed and left Jerry tied up on his bed waiting for someone to find him.

Lexi and I remain friends and lovers to this day. Jerry and I broke up a month or so later, but not before Jerry asked me to marry him. At the time I accepted, but changed my mind when I got to know the real Jerry Butler. As it turns out I had fallen for Jerry’s character “Athur” and didn’t know the real Jerry at all. Actors can sometimes fool you like that.

(By the way, you can see some of my photos from that first trip for free. I even got a shot of the tree.)
