Eyes on Cytherea

Everyone who has ever had the opportunity to see Cytherea on film knows her as an awesome performer and woman. Not only does she happen to be an amazing individual, she shares her passion with all who are ready and willing to come into her world. She’s a true porn star with everything that implies, with her sex on screen every bit as real as you would find it at her home (or my home, whatever).

Many of you may not realize, however, the real-life trauma she has been through recently. In January of 2015 Cytherea, her husband, her children, and her mother in-law were victims of a brutal home invasion by five men who assaulted and brutalized her family before gang-raping Cytherea herself. A few months have passed since the horrible event, and as you might imagine, Cytherea has been struggling to get back on her — personal and professional — feet ever since. On April 16th, she came over to my house and opened up about how she has been coping, and how she hopes to get back into our world. She also modeled for the first time since the attack, and I have to say that I found the experience a little surreal, certainly, but also more than a little joyful.

To share your real thoughts and fears within the recollection of a crime like this can be devastating. Fortunately she and I have been friends for some time, and this allowed her to feel comfortable “getting real” with me in this in-depth interview. Be warned, our talk will not be for the faint of heart, or the shy and timid.

It is, however, open and honest, and I really feel that watching Cytherea share even these emotions can perhaps open up a dialogue for many of us individually.

  1. Like you say Cytherea “fuck ’em! They are the one’s who will pay in the end.” Whilst you will remain the beautiful woman, wife and mother that you already are, but with even more strength and resolve to face this screwed up world.
Thank you Ginger Lynn for sharing this interview with us. Friends like you will see her through. God bless you all x
